When we heard this sound, it always symbolize chicken nearby us (except those set it as alarm tone)

Very near for us to reach year of the roaster.... just left less than a month (if calculate according to Chinese Calendar)

Lego 40172 Brick Calendar

After 5 years later released of Lego 853195, we received the news that Lego will  hit the market with the new awesome Lego 40172 Brick Calendar. The rumor said this set will be available in market on early of 2017. One of the lucky Instagram user Margaret_Bricks managed to grab a set from the Lego Brand Retail Store near her place.

Compare to the previously one, it more look like digital style in design. Opps, digital style, not digital version... haha...

Check it out! The color look quite nice and  the set come with 1 minifigure.

Lego 40236: Romantic Valentine Picnic (Seasonal Sets 2017)

Before we move to Year 2017, the official images for the Lego 40236 available on Lego server's. The set had been available at some Lego store in overseas. Official release date will be early of January 2017.

Details of this set as below:
- Includes 2 minifigures: a boy and a girl, plus a bird figure.
- Features a blooming tree, heart-shaped lawn, bouquet of flowers, red balloon and various buildable accessories   and elements, including a picnic blanket, 2 sandwiches, cakes, table, 2 glasses and a bottle.
- Measures over 3” (9cm) high, 4” (12cm) wide and 4” (12cm) deep.

LEGO 71017 The Batman Movie Minifigure Series

According to the information provided in The Brothers Brick website, this set will be hit store shelves on 1st of January 2017. As for Malaysia, it may be available 1 or 2 days later (Due to no delivery on Public Holiday). After a long wait on the set distribution per box, now The Brothers Brick had confirmed in their review @ http://www.brothers-brick.com/2016/12/11/the-lego-batman-movie-collectible-minifigures-71017-review/ (3) Three Complete Sets per box ( not like other series which will have some few same characters extra in the box).

Bali Padda - New CEO for Lego Group as of January 1, 2017

The LEGO Group has announced that Bali Padda, current Chief Operations Officer, is appointed CEO of the company as of January 1, 2017.

Bali Padda takes over from Jørgen Vig Knudstorp who will head up the new entity LEGO Brand Group.

Bali Padda has been with the LEGO Group for 14 years and is at present heading up Operations while at the same time being overall responsible for people and organisational development. During the past ten years, he has been a member of the LEGO Group’s top management.

Commenting on the appointment of Bali Padda as CEO, Niels Jacobsen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the LEGO Group, says:

“Bali Padda has a fantastic track record in the LEGO Group with more than 14 years of experience especially within supply chain functions, but more recently also focusing on people and organisational development. Bali has demonstrated an ability to drive the changes required in operations through the significant growth we have experienced during the past years. I am confident that Bali will continue to develop the company in close cooperation with management.”

Thomas Kirk Kristiansen, fourth generation owner of the LEGO Group, comments:

New Structure for Active Family Ownership of Lego® Brand

Jørgen Vig Knudstorp to head up LEGO brand entity to increase focus on the long-term brand potential

Based on a strong commitment to continued active family ownership, the Kirk Kristiansen family, owners of the LEGO® brand, have decided to establish a new entity, the LEGO Brand Group. 

The LEGO brand is built on a simple idea with endless possibilities; an idea that has proven its durability and timelessness, not least demonstrated by the unparalleled growth the LEGO Group has achieved over the past 12 years. With this in mind, the owner family firmly believes that there is still untapped potential in the LEGO brand.

“Our family ownership is deeply rooted in the LEGO Idea, which is about learning and development through play and a unique, creative play system that offers endless possibilities. With our recent growth and globalisation come new and exciting opportunities for the brand, and we establish the LEGO Brand Group to look into these new opportunities,” says Thomas Kirk Kristiansen, fourth generation owner of the LEGO Group. 

The LEGO Brand Group will thus facilitate the owner governance of all LEGO brand related activities. Miniland Kuala Lumpur Cluster Legoland Malaysia

Ways back to July 16, 2015 Miniland Kuala Lumpur cluster at Legoland Malaysia was damaged in a fire that broke out.

Since then, the park has been covered and cordoned off temporary. After few months later, the Miniland Kuala Lumpur Cluster had temporary replaced by some sculptures. 

The Miniland Kuala Lumpur Cluster has been rebuilt by Legoland Master Builders.

After 1 1/2 years, the beauty of the Miniland Kuala Lumpur Cluster has been fully restored.

In conjunction with this, Legoland Malaysia had an limited edition of Duplo Commemorative Brick "Miniland Guided Tours". Grab it before fully redeemed.

Lego Ideas 21308 Adventure Time

If you guys still remembered, this set had been showed by the Design Team on San Diego Comic-CON(SDCC) way back in July 2016. The set will be officially release in the first quarter of 2017.

The set consists of 495pcs of elements. This set contains eight(8) of the TV series characters under Cartoon Network license. Can you guess which eight(8) characters that i means based on the box?

2016 is a special year for Lego. Why?

Year 2016, Lego celebrate 50 year anniversary for the train products. The first train product was launched in Year 1966. Do you guys still remember which is the first Lego train set?
The answer is Lego 113 Motorized Train Set.

In conjunction with the 50 years Lego Train on track, Lego had given out the Lego 4002016 50 years on the track as Lego Employee Gift for 2016.

Based on the front of the box, we can know that this set consists of 1141pcs. This make me understand why the price on the reseller site jump up to average USD 300 per set (exclude shipping). 

In this set. it consists of 5 mini trains build according to the existing Lego Train sets. Try to see how many mini scale train/s that you recognize from which set/s?

Parts/ Elements

Based on my observation, there is one element exclusive for this set. The element i means is Lego 50254 Train Wheel Small, Hole Notched for Wheels Holder Pin in Red color.

Overall, this set should never miss out by Lego Train Collectors. It not a short journey of the 50 years on track. Lego did it.... Another 50 years coming....

Lego 41148 Elsa’s Magical Ice Palace

Lego had updated their database on the new Disney sets for Winter 2017. The set caught my attention on it. It upgrade version of Lego 41062 Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle. It consists of 701pcs. Good set to grab especially fans of the Disney Frozen. The color matching is perfect for this set.

Review: Lego 40206 Santa Seasonal Set 2016

HO...HO... HO... Christmas near to the corner.... Still left about 20 days for celebration of Xmas...

Malaysia new Lego Certified Store was launched on last Tuesday 29/11/2016 @ Pavilion Elite. As a Lego fans, for sure i do pay a visit to this new store with two of my regular hang out Lego buddy. Guess what, i pick-up the following set for review. Check  it out!

The technique for build up this model quite simple. Suitable for kids. Suggestion: Present for kids for this coming Christmas.

Parts / Elements:

Based on my own observation, there just one rare element in this set:

(a) Lego 4579753  Brick W. Bow 4x1x1 1/3 Dark Green (appear in 6 other Lego sets)

Anyhow, the elements for this set good for using for sourcing part for MOC. Especially for MOC Modular building.

The dark green elements 1x2 brick, 1x4 brick hardly get from local parts store. Through this set, Mocer able to obtain some elements for own creations at a more reasonable price.

Overall, this set worth to get as a Christmas gift to kid or friend. It not cost you much. This set  nice in design and suitable for this coming Xmas, as Santa is one of the characters, that never been miss out for Xmas.. Check it out at you nearest Lego Certified Store.
